Course Objective:

Within the organization, the HR function is normally people driven. When we talk of people in the organization – we collect, collate, document various sets of data for records, reference and reporting purposes. Beyond this, normally nothing much happens to help shape the business outcomes.

In this program, participants will therefore understand the importance of HR data, how best they can use the data and thereby leverage the power of data for making better informed (data-driven) people decisions. Decisions which in the end drive better outcomes for both the business and employees.The participants will learn on the analysis framework and techniques to uncover data-driven insights that will aid the decision-making and reporting in a more presentable way.  The skills you learn will help you transform the way you work as you would discover the most important link that exists between ‘HR’ and ‘the business’. 


By determining the impact of people-related decisions and policies, you show business leaders which levers they need to pull in order to boost business performance.

  • Types of Data Analytics – Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Prescriptive Analytics
  • Introduction to HR Reporting, HR Metrics, 
  • HR Analytics Model/Framework
  • When to use Predictive Analysis (Performance Indicators, Interpreting Key Results and Prediction) 
  • Data Visualization and HR Dashboard
  • Tools such as MS Excel features, Google sheets  – Used for Reporting, Presentation
  • Generic Knowledge on other Tools and techniques viz. ‘R’, Tableau, SPSS
  • Application of HR Analytics in the areas of: Recruitment/Talent Management, Attrition, Employee Engagement, Compensation, Absence Management and  other Generic HR functions
  • Future of HR Analytics and how this will reshape the future of HR for making better and effective decision-making.


Quiz, Practical Exercises/Assignments, Case Studies: This will be conducted in between the sessions so that the participants get to know practically how they can use the different set of data’s and come up with the right solutions.
